Memorial Day to Us

Today is Memorial Day and what a wonderful day it is! I am sooo grateful for this wonderful country we live in. My husband served 8 months in Iraq but he came home to us and for that I will be so grateful but so sympathetic to those who weren't as lucky as we were to see him step off the plane in just as good of condition as he was when he left. Independence Day is coming up as well and that is another holiday that hits home for us because we are so PROUD TO BE AMERICANS!!! I hope everyone has an amazing weekend and remembers how good it feels to be FREE!

Summer Sexy Legs!

Hey guys!!! Obviously I have failed miserably at doing a blog post a day but I have succeeded in finding an amazing shave cream!!! Now that I have my legs tan from my Jergens Natural Glow I needed them to be soft, smooth, and hair free! I picked up this little gem for dry skin (as my legs are ALWAYS dry). There is a coupon in the Walgreens circular for this to be $1.99 and its usually $3.99. It is really somethig different than other shave creams and shave gels I've tried. It feels like you are putting on lotion! I am also pleased that it is all plastic. I hate the metal cans that rust in your shower :( If you get a chance pick this up and let me know how you like it! Have a great Memorial Day weekend guys!!!

My First OPI

This is my first OPI nail polish!!! I recently took off my acrylics ,hence the terrible nails :(, but to treat myself I bought my first OPI nail polish. They are a little pricey at $8.50 each where I live so I always just admired them and since I always had acrylics I would pick an OPI from the salon stash but never had my own. I saw this at Target and decided I would give them a try. Overall I am pretty pleased. The color I have is OPI Here Today.....Aragon Tomorrow which is this nice dark sort of olive green shade. Its a nice color but I am really on the hunt for OPI My Private Jet and this didn't quite satisfy my craving so I will keep searching for it but overall I am pretty pleased. I will probably be obsessed with nail polish now lol. Do you guys have any recommendations on colors??? Or tips on growing strong healthy nails???

As I Promised.......

I mentioned that I was trying out Jergens Natural Glow foam in another post and I also stated I would continue using it and let you guys know how it went. Well, surprisingly well. I think this is something I am going to have to keep in my cabinets from now on. I am so surprised with the results. Its nothing dramatic so don't expect that, but it gives such a nice and natural color. Since its a foam it dries super fast and it doesn't cake up. Sometimes with lotion tanners I notice after a few times they start to look almost "cakey" on my skin but since this fully soaks in I never feel overdone or blotchy. I have used this for almost 3 weeks and I am just now needing a new can so that isn't bad for $7.99 and it probably would of lasted longer but the first few times I used way too much! When you squirt it in your hand it expands which I wasn't use to so now I know how much I need but its something you have to get used to. All in all, I am quite impressed with this for it to be so cheap and effortless. I am going to pick up another can as soon as I head to Wal-Mart again so a repurchase is definitely a good sign :) Have you guys tried this? What do you think?

Bleaching My Roots!!!

Warning!!! These are NOT pretty pictures! lol. I get soo many requests on my youtube channel to show how I dye my hair, so I figured I would post some pictures on my blog of me bleaching my roots.........so, here it goes!

These are my roots! YIKES! They were getting pretty bad!

I use Clairol Born Blonde Maxi and I love it. Its about $9
That is everything you get in the box

Since I am only doing my roots this time I am going to use this bowl and brush I bought at Sally Beauty Supply so I can have more control. I mixed it in the bottle shown above then poured it into the bowl

After applied to my roots, and roots only, I always put on a shower cap, obviously that isn't stylish but the heat from your scalp helps speed up the process and avoids any messes while I wait.

And voila! My roots are done! Simple as that and a whole lot cheaper than going to a salon for a touch-up! Hope that helps someone! :)

Revlon is all the rave!

Second post for the day........yay! So, everyone has been raving about the new lipglosses and from the moment I saw them in my local Walgreens I had to have them so I waited till they went on sale or I had a coupon b/c lets face it, $6.99 for a Revlon lip gloss is a lil on the expensive side, so I caught them on a good deal and now I own these gorgeous shades! I bought Peach Petal and Lilac Pastelle. They are both beautiful and seem to be much more pigmented than I had ever expected. They remind me of MAC's Cremesheen glass so I dug out my Ever So Rich and swatched it right alone side them and as you can see the Revlon is a little more thick and, believe it or not, more pigmented! The Revlon seems thick but it glides on your lips so nice and soft. My first thought when I saw the Lilac Pastelle was it looks just like Barry M 129 in a gloss form so I also swatched that for you guys. I put the lilac on yesterday over my bare lips and it just had a nice lilac sheen and it felt so good on my lips so today I will be wearing the peach and I am quite excited!!! Have a great weekend and let me know if any of you guys have any of these!!!

Jergens Tinted Foaming Moisturizer

I know I said I was going to try and put a picture up everyday but I have missed the last couple of days due to some issues going on. I am back though and with an item I purchased a few days ago! The Jergens natural glow foaming moisturizer. I have been sooo skeptical of this since it came out because I used the Jergens natural glow lotion and I hated it! The only "tint" it gave me was that of orange which is definitely not the look I am going for. It also looked blotchy after a few days. Despite my skepticism I picked this up at Wal-Mart a few days ago. So far, I am impressed. I put it on before I went to bed the night I bought it. I expected the foam to have a tint but it doesn't, its just white which makes applying a little more difficult. I applied one coat and let it dry then another an hour or so later and the next morning I woke up with a nice glow. I would say maybe 2 shades darker which looks completely natural. I was pleasantly surprised at the results so I am going to reapply tonight and see how this keeps working. I will update you guys ASAP!

Urban Decay Hall of Fame

Well, I have slightly more exciting pictures today to share with you all........they are of the Urban Decay Hall of Fame set. I ordered this about 2 weeks ago from Hautelook and it came with a lipstick, lipgloss, 24/7 liner, mascara, and of course their Primer Potion. I found this set to be so intriguing as I have been on the hunt for a black liner to stay on my water line and I am always on the hunt for a good mascara and I have to say, the brush on this mascara is quite different but different can be good, we will see! The lipgloss is something outrageous! Its a beautiful, sexy red color which is quite pigmented and did I forget to mention is has a sexy half naked man on it??? Can you say, "WOW!" LOL. The lipstick is "Midnight Cowboy" which is a nice nude color but somewhat sheer so I'm not sure that it will cover my pigmented lips enough to actually be a "nude" but it is quite cute :) I am eager to try all of these products and I am sure I will be doing reviews on them on my youtube channel so be sure to stay tuned!!!

Heeey Guys!!!

I saw some bloggers doing the project 365 and since I have been slacking (to say the least) with blogging I decided this would be a great way to get motivated again. The picture I uploaded today is that of my children and I watching a movie on the couch........obviously lol. This is what I do most days, I lay around in my pjs cleaning and spending time with my babies. So, don't expect anything exciting out of this, but just some random pics and facts lol. I hope you guys are having a great week!!!
